EASTER VISION
During a conference for clergy earlier this week, Bishop Joseph Charon, the retired bishop of Des Moines, told the wonderful story of a man in California who, on a beautiful spring day, took his young daughter on a sailboat ride in the San Francisco Bay. The child was caught up in the joy of being out in open waters, being carried by the winds in the sails, and she exclaimed, “Daddy, I can see farther than my eyes can look!” That’s the joy of Easter. It’s seeing beyond the sadness of Good Friday to recognize the joy of Easter Sunday. It's learning to know that even as we confront the tensions and tragedies of life, the Resurrection is at work in us. And it’s precisely because of our belief in the Resurrection that we can reach out to the hurting, that we can serve the poor and most vulnerable, and that we can be generous with one another, knowing that we are supported by God’s everlasting love. As we enter Holy Week at St. Ambrose, may the days of this most sacred time of year offer to each one the grace of the Risen Christ to see beyond the limited view for which we too easily settle, and to reach for a life of endless possibilities and eternal joy. A blessed holy week and joyous Easter to all.  ---Fr. Chuck

•Welcome L’Arche
We are pleased to welcome our friends from the L’Arche community in Clinton on Sunday starting with the 10:30am mass.  L’Arche is a community of adults with developmental disabilities and others who live with them in a community of equals and are witnesses to the values of justice and respect for every individual. We are proud of the longstanding relationship we have at SAU with L'Arche and we are pleased to welcome its members to St. Ambrose for what has become an annual event for our students.

+Be sure to return your Rice Bowls to the Chapel before you go home for Easter Break!

•Turn In Your Rice Bowl!!!  Beginning on Palm Sunday, Campus Ministry will be collecting Rice Bowls to send to Catholic Relief Services.  Please bring in your filled Rice Bowl to the Chapel, and leave it in the large basket marked for them.  Proceeds go to fight hunger in the Quad Cities as well as globally.  You can also make a donation by going straight to CRS online.  Please be generous - your donations help make a difference in the lives of others around the world this Lent!

•Stations of the Cross: During this Holy Week, pray along with our online stations, featuring SAU student reflections and the beautiful etchings of the late Fr. Edward Catich: http://saustations.blogspot.com.

•Brewed Awakening: Join us Monday, April 14th at 8pm in the Gathering Space for the final Brewed Awakening discussion of the semester, as Becke Dawson from SIS International Shop leads a discussion about fair trade: what it is, who it benefits, and why it’s important!  Join us for good coffee and great discussion!

•Hunger Fast: Those with a SAU meal plan can donate your Sodexo lunch on Tuesday, April 15th to benefit Riverbend Food Bank.  Fasting begins after Brewed Awakening on Monday, April 14th and ends after 4:30 mass on Tuesday, April 15th.  A juice station will be available in the Beehive for those fasting.  Break your fast with us in Christ the King Chapel with soup and sandwiches after 4:30 mass on Tuesday.  Please email Kelly Bush at bushkellya@sau.edu to join the fast or RSVP for the soup dinner.

•Wednesday Midweek Quiet Reflection: Come to our last midweek reflection of Lent - join us at 12 noon for a brief, 15 minute prayer service with a Taize song, scripture, and silence - a little silence goes a long way!

•Holy Thursday Reflection: Join us for a special reflection time at 12 noon on Holy Thursday in the Chapel.  Spend 15 minutes in prayer and quiet reflection on the mysteries of the Last Supper and the coming Triduum.  A great way to prepare for the evening beginning of the Triduum.

•Service on Saturdays: The last Service on Saturday opportunity of the semester - helping the Botanical Center for their Spring Opening Planting Day on April 26 from 12-3pm.  Email ministry@sau.edu.

•Medieval Play: Dr. Nancy Hayes’ Medieval Literature Class will be acting out “The Crucifixion,” a 14 century passion play, Wednesday April 16 at 2pm in the Chapel Gathering Space.  All are welcome.

•Music for Commencement Mass: All SAU students, faculty, and staff are invited to assist with music for the Commencement Mass on Sat, May 10 at 9am in the Chapel.  This mass provides a beautiful send-off for our graduates and their families, and is a wonderful SAU tradition.  Rehearsals will start on Monday, April 14 at 7pm.  Please email Chris Clow at ministry@sau.edu if you would like to help out!

•Certificate in Youth Ministry Studies: Courses offered this summer during June 12-15 and July 10-13.  This program is perfect for those who want to work with high school youth, and courses can be taken for Theology credit.  Email Chris Clow at ministry@sau.edu to learn more.
