Making Time in a Busy Month
October is the month when it feels like we are truly in full stride.  No more “just getting started,” or “still working out the bugs,” no Thanksgiving break yet, and we dare not think too much about the end of the semester or Christmas.  No, we’re right in the thick of it.  It can be an overwhelming feeling, as our students know well.  Even a one day reprieve for a short fall break is most welcome, but then we're right back at it on Monday morning.  All the more reason to press the “pause button” when you can.  Take five or ten minutes to sit in the Grotto, pay a visit to the Chapel, join a small group, attend The Bridge Bible Study, come to Mass and More, sign up for the Antioch Retreat at the end of the month.  I think each day, each week, each month, each year should have its own “sabbath,” a time when we step back and remind ourselves that God is in control.  Enjoy the short break and continue to have a blessed - if busy - October!  Fr. Thom
