Campus Ministry Reflections
Breath in… breath out… WHEW. What a week! I have a feeling some of us might be feeling just a tad overwhelmed? With the election, switching to online classes, a tornado, finals coming up, thanksgiving, everything going on in our world, it can be exhausting and overwhelming. I invite you all to just take a moment to pause. Think of three things that are positive or going well in your life. They don’t have to be perfect or big, just think of three. These challenges we are facing are tough and it is okay to be struggling or upset, especially when we have no control over what is happening.
Today’s devotional from Blessed is She was about devastation and the challenges we face in life and even challenges we may be facing now. The author shared about the loss she had experienced and her anger with God. She realized the Holy Spirit had been guiding her to develop a stronger faith through this loss. Through the suffering, she looked towards Heaven. The Lord held her hand. He walked with her as she went into the depths of the unknown because the only way she was able to make it out of the heartbreak was to follow Him. Meandering through this unknown was intimidating, but she knew she was holding the hand of Someone Who is bigger than all the misery.
As we continue to wander through the unknown, know that you are not alone. God is reaching his hand to comfort and guide you through. Grab his hand and see where He takes you. -- Claire
